120th Anniversary of the Birth of Trofim (Trokay) Borisov

November 19, 2011 will be 120th anniversary of the birth of Trofim (Trokay) Borisov, a distinguished son of the Udmurt people, a conspicuous statesman and political personality, doctor, publicist and ethnographer.

In late 2010 Udmurt President Aleksandr Volkov signed a decree titled "On Preparation for and Carrying out of Festivities Devoted to the 120th Anniversary of the Birth of Trofim Borisov."

On February 14 President of the Udmurt Republic Aleksandr Volkov met with Nikolay Musalimov, Deputy of the State Duma of Russia and President of the Udmurt Kenesh all-Udmurt association. They discussed the progress of the preparations for the jubilee. Specifically, Aleksandr Volkov and Nikolay Musalimov discussed in detail the issue of the creation and placement of Trofim Borisov monument in the Udmurt capital.
