Udmurtia: Heading for ModernizationThe 3rd investment forum “Udmurtia: Heading for Modernization” will be held in Izhevsk on May 19–20, 2001 in support of the implementation of the “Establishing Favorable Conditions for Investment Attraction in the Udmurt Republic in 2010–2014” republican goal-oriented program, as per decision by the Presidium of the Government of the Udmurt Republic.
The principal purpose of the forum is to present the current state of the socio-economic development of the Udmurt Republic, the potential of its manufacturing enterprises, the energy complex, agriculture, construction, and science. Representatives of federal and regional public authorities, finance institutions, local self-government, industrial and agricultural enterprises, trade, science, subjects of small and medium business will take part in the forum. The organizers have planned to hold a plenary meeting, round-table sessions, to present an exhibition of investment projects. The forum’s organizing committee will be headed by the Chairman of the Government of the Udmurt Republic Yury Pitkevich. |
