12th international specialized exhibition “21st Century City” and the 15th all-Russian specialized exhibition “Furniture. Woodworking”On March 21 Chairman of the Government of the Udmurt Republic Yury Pitkevich held a meeting of the Presidium of the Government that reviewed over twenty issues. The government ordered that the 12th international specialized exhibition “21st Century City” and the 15th all-Russian specialized exhibition “Furniture. Woodworking” be held in Izhevsk from May 24 to 27, 2011. Organizers: Ministry of Construction of the Udmurt Republic, Ministry of Industry of the Udmurt Republic, Ministry of Transport of the Udmurt Republic, Izhevsk City Administration, Udmurtia’s Union of Builders, Udmurt Chamber of Commerce, Udmurtia Exhibition Center. The exhibitions will be cover architecture, design, town planning; construction materials, technologies and equipment; low-rise house-building; housing and communal services; construction, including road construction; energy saving technologies and equipment; furniture, accessories and materials; woodworking equipment, technologies, tools, and numerous other subjects. Experts believe that about 200 enterprises will participate in the two exhibitions. Sergey Shikalov, Acting Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Policy of the Udmurt Republic, said that concurrently with the two exhibitions the traditional all-Russian competition for best products in the spheres of construction, housing and communal services, furniture and woodworking industries will be held. The participants will compete in the following categories: Building Materials, Structures and Items; Decoration Materials; Heat-Insulating Materials; Construction Technologies; Architecture and Town Planning; Low-Rise House-Building; Equipment for Housing and Communal Services; Furniture; Woodworking (tools, equipment, and technologies); Woodworking Products; Road Construction Materials. The programs of the exhibitions will include seminars, round table workshops, and presentations by participating enterprises. The principal purpose of the exhibitions is to demonstrate the achievements and potentials of Udmurt, Russian and foreign enterprises whose activities are aimed at the formation and maintenance of urban infrastructure, the use of advanced technologies in housing and road construction, their reconstruction and repair, communal services maintenance, resolution of energy saving problems. |
