Youth Theater Construction to Commence in Izhevsk in 2012

On May 3, at a meeting with journalists, Alexander Volkov said, inter alia, that in 2012 the Udmurt Republic will receive 400 mln rubles from the federal budget for the construction of a Youth Theater in Izhevsk.

“The Russian Ministry of Culture is ready to allot this money to us and, after the completion of the refurbishing of the Machine-Builders’ Palace of Culture for the Russian Drama Theater this year, we’ll begin the construction of a Youth Theater in 2012. Currently the Ministry of Culture is reviewing our request for joint financing of a general overhaul of the building of the National Library,” — Alexander Volkov said.
