The delegation comprised Minister of Defence of Mongolia Luvsanvandan Bold, Ambassador of Mongolia to Russia Doloonjin Idevkhten, members of the State Great Khural, and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia and the Embassy of Mongolia in Russia. They were accompanied by representatives of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia and the governing bodies of the Udmurt Republic. The guests fr om Mongolia visited the Izhevsk Arms Factory where they were offered an exhibition of military, sporting and hunting arms, aircraft weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. Maxim Kuzyuk, First Deputy of the Director General of the OAO “Izhevsky Mashzavod”, and the factory designers presented Izhmash-made arms to the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia and his colleagues, and informed them of their capabilities. The Minister thoroughly examined each of the presented pieces. Then he test-fired a number of Izhmash-made arms at the enterprise shooting range: the AK-74M and AN-94 “Abakan” assault rifles, the SVD sniper rifle and the Tigr hunting rifle. Maxim Kuzyuk also presented state-of-the-art equipment that is being introduced at the Izhevsk Arms Factory under a technical re-armament program. The operation of a number of machine tools was demonstrated to the Minister. The Mongol guests visited the Izhmash museum wh ere they had a tour describing the factory’s history of over 200 years. Then the Mongol delegation went to the Residence of the President of the Udmurt Republic for a meeting with Alexander Volkov. |
