On December 1-2, 2011 Head of the Work Staff for Cooperation with Russian Regions, Embassy of Germany in Moscow, Knut Zuchan, visited the Udmurt Republic.

The purpose of Mr. Zuchan’s visit was to meet with the Udmurt Republic and the city of Izhevsk officials, expand contacts with Russian-German organizations and enterprises, and to take part in the German Days in the Russian Regions project events at the Udmurt State University.

On December 2, 2011 Knut Zuchan met with the Minister of Economy of the Udmurt Republic Mikhail Zaytsev. They discussed the prospects of the republic’s development, most promising economic sectors in the next 5 years, the labor market in Udmurtia, economic relations with Germany and examples of the most successful Russian-German cooperation.
